Hertz pays for basic life insurance for all employees equal to one times their base annual pay, even if they don’t enroll in any other benefits.
Hertz also offers supplemental life for employees (up to six times the employee’s annual base pay, up to $3 million) and life insurance for their dependents (up to $100,000 for spouse/domestic partner and up to $15,000 for dependent children) to take advantage of if needed.
Yes, employees can cover themselves and their family up to ten times their annual base pay or $750,000, whichever is less.
Non-exempt employees on an approved STD leave automatically receive 50% of their weekly base pay up to $150 per week. Non-exempt employees are covered through a policy fully insured by Hertz.
Employees have the option of two buy up options (both as based on location):
Opiton1: Pays a benefit of 50% of their weekly base rate, up to a $500 weekly maximum.
Option 2: Pays a benefit of 60% of employees’ weekly base rate, up to a $1000 weekly maximum.
Employees can pay for Hertz LTD coverage which provides a monthly benefit to replace a portion of your income after 26 weeks of total disability. Employees have two options: coverage equal to 50% of their monthly base pay (up to $13,000 per month) or 60% of their monthly base pay (up to $16,000 per month).
Birth mothers can receive up to 10 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (8 weeks to recover from the birth of the child and 2 weeks for bonding). Spouses/domestic partners of birth mothers, and individuals who adopt, foster, or have a child placed for surrogacy receive 2 weeks to bond with the child. Read the full policy here.
