Wellbeing

chevron_down
What does Hertz mean by “wellbeing”?

Wellbeing is about more than just your physical health. It’s about all of you: your financial wellness, emotional happiness, and how involved you are in your community. Hertz cares about you and your family and we want every aspect of your life to be fulfilling. That’s what wellbeing means at Hertz.

chevron_down
What’s Ignite with Hertz?

Ignite with Hertz is our wellbeing program. By completing specific wellbeing activities, you can earn a premium reduction credit to reduce next year’s medical premiums. Click here for more information and to find a host of other wellbeing resources.

chevron_down
Who can participate?

You and your spouse/domestic partner enrolled in a Hertz medical plan through UMR can participate. If you’re not enrolled in a Hertz medical plan through UMR, you cannot participate. However, you can take advantage of other Hertz wellbeing benefits and programs like the EAP (if you have Basic Life Insurance) and Quit for Life. Click here for more information on what’s available.

If you live in Hawaii, you’re not eligible for this program because you have a different wellbeing program through Kaiser. But you can still take advantage of some of the other wellbeing benefits and programs like the EAP, Breathe (tobacco cessation program), and even some Kaiser-specific programs. Click here for more information.

chevron_down
How does the wellbeing program work?

There are two things you and your spouse/domestic partner need to do to each earn the premium reduction credit:

1.  Complete your health survey: To earn the premium reduction credit, you must complete the health survey. You’ll earn 10% for completing it.

2.  Complete activities from the list below to earn another 90% in order to reach 100% and get full credit.

  • Required: Complete Health Survey - 10%
  • Biometric Screening - 20%
  • Annual Physical - 20%
  • Call MyQHealth Care Coordinator - 20%
  • Complete a personal coaching program like Real Appeal or Early Steps Maternity - 20% each
  • Dental Cleaning - 10%
  • Vision Exam - 10%
  • Skin Cancer Screening - 10%
  • Register with Teladoc - 10%
  • Volunteer - 10%
  • Attend a Hertz-sponsored Lunch & Learn/Webcast/Health Fair - 10%
  • Participate in an organized walk/run - 10%
  • Online, virtual challenges (4 over the course of the year) - 10% for each challenge

You can view this list in a chart on the wellbeing page

Once you reach 100%, you earn $600 off your medical premiums for the next plan year. The same goes for your spouse/domestic partner if they choose to participate.

chevron_down
How do I reach 100%?

You reach 100% by choosing and completing activities from the list (you can find it here). Each activity is worth a different percentage, so you have to complete enough activities to equal 100%. Keep in mind that you must complete the health survey which is worth 10%. After that, you choose the activities you want to complete.

chevron_down
Are there any required activities?

Yes. You must complete the health survey. Not only do you have to complete the health survey to earn the premium reduction credit, but you won’t be able to see your progress in your WeRally.com account until you do. For example, if you complete your annual physical first, your progress will show as 0%. As soon as you complete your health survey, however, your progress will show as 30%, that’s 10% for the health survey and 20% for the annual physical.

chevron_down
Can my spouse/domestic partner participate?

Yes, if you cover him/her under a Hertz medical plan through UMR. If you don’t, he/she is not eligible for the $600 premium credit. Get the full details here.

What do I have to tell my doctor to make sure my annual physical counts?

When you call to schedule your appointment, make sure to tell them it’s for your annual physical. Since it’s preventive care, Hertz covers your annual physical at no cost to you. At the time of your visit, be sure the doctor’s staff has coded your visit as a preventive annual physical.

If your doctor sends you to another location to get blood work or other tests, verify the facility is in-network and the services performed are coded as part of the annual physical. Remember, you can look for in-network facilities in the MyQHealth app if you’re on the go.

Remember, if you don’t have medical coverage through Hertz, you cannot participate in the Ignite with Hertz wellbeing program.

chevron_down
When I call a MyQHealth Care Coordinator, what do I have to do to earn my credit?

When you call a Care Coordinator, you’ll have to choose or verify your primary care physician (PCP) to earn your credit. Then, MyQHealth will let Rally know you’ve earned your credit by calling and confirming your PCP. Be aware that it could take up to a month for activity completion to show up on your account.

Note: Just because you’ve designated a primary care physician with a Care Coordinator does not mean this is the only provider you can see or that you need a referral to see other doctors. We always recommend using in-network providers but who you see for care is up to you.

Here’s how: On the Rally Dashboard tab, click View Details under the Employer Rewards section. Then scroll until you find Attest to completing your Dental Cleaning and click Verify. The premium credit amount will be prorated based on your hire date. If you participate, you will earn a $3.85 credit per weekly pay period ($7.69 per biweekly pay period).
