Mainland/Alaska

New Hire Eligibility

  1. You are an employee of The Hertz Corporation, or one of the following entities: DTG Operations, Donlen Corporation, Hertz Local Edition, Hertz International, Hertz Claims Management Corp

  2. You are a full-time, part-time or temporary employee scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week

  3. You are not a member of a collective bargaining agreement, unless the collective bargaining agreement has adopted some or all of the HCBP

  4. You are not a Transporter, Shuttler, or Casual Employee

New Hire Enrollment

  1. Standard Coverage begins first day of the month following 60 days of continuous employment

  2. Day One Coverage begins on date of hire*

  3. May enroll in benefits as early as their first week of employment

  4. Have 60 days to enroll in benefits

*Day One Coverage is limited to medical, dental and vision coverage only with the employee paying 100% of the premiums until Standard Coverage begins.

Newly Eligible for Benefits

  1. Coverage begins first day of the month following date of status change*

  2. Must meet New Hire eligibility criteria

  3. Have 30 days to enroll in benefits

*You must have also satisfied the New Hire waiting period

Rehires (any reason) within 30 Days from last day worked

  1. Benefits eligible immediately upon date of rehire

  2. No enrollment window as all prior benefits are reinstated

Rehires (any reason) within 13 Weeks from last day worked

  1. Benefits eligible immediately upon date of rehire

  2. Enrollment window opens for 31 days

  3. Must reelect benefits

  4. If rehired more than 13 weeks from last day worked, standard new hire waiting period applies

Rehires from Layoff within 2 Years from last day worked

  1. Benefits eligible immediately upon date of rehire

  2. Enrollment window opens for 31 days

  3. Must reelect benefits

  4. If rehired more than 2 years from layoff, standard new hire waiting period applies

Hawaii

New Hire Eligibility

  1. You are an employee of The Hertz Corporation, or one of the following entities: DTG Operations, Donlen Corporation, Hertz Local Edition, Hertz International, Hertz Claims Management Corp

  2. You are a full-time, part-time or temporary employee scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week

  3. You are not a member of a collective bargaining agreement, unless the collective bargaining agreement has adopted some or all of the HCBP

  4. You are not a Transporter, Shuttler, or Casual Employee

New Hire Enrollment

  1. Standard Coverage begins first day of the month following four (4) consecutive weeks of continuous employment

  2. May enroll in benefits as early as their first week of employment

  3. Have 30 days to enroll in benefits

Newly Eligible for Benefits

  1. Coverage begins first day of the month following date of status change*

  2. Must meet New Hire eligibility criteria

  3. Have 30 days to enroll in benefits
